AIM Makes the Connection

Posted in Conference, Independent, News by Generator on Wednesday 12th of March 2014

The Association of Independent Music (AIM) has announced initial details of its Music Connected conference this year, including speakers from Warp, Cooking Vinyl and a keynote from Merlin’s Charles Caldas. Taking place on April 30th at Glaziers Hall in London, the 12th annual conference will offer an entire day of conferences and networking, covering topics from making sense of data to breaking an act for under £1000.

The latter panel will look at how small independent labels with a limited budget can maximise their digital marketing efforts to break a new act.

In addition, Motive Unknown’s Darren Hemmings will host an interview with Ian Johnsen of management company Mythophonic, Charlie Biles of [PIAS] and Chris Batten of Enter Shikari, examining how the band have effectively built up a massive following on social networks, their approach to social media and how they engage fans online.

Digital companies confirmed to attend the event so far include Believe Digital, INgrooves, The Orchard, Sound Cloud and Youtube.
