Conferences and Showcases

Generator has a strong history of showcasing the North East's finest new artists within the region, across the UK, and internationally.

This year Generator ran panels, networking events and showcases at The Great Escape Festival and Liverpool Sound City

Generator has also showcased artists at the world's most renowned music conference SXSW in Texas and in partnership with Northern organisations we hosted some of the finest artists from the North of England at the British Music Embassy including Little Comets, Pulled Apart By Horses and Dutch Uncles.

Artists have also been promoted at national and international conferences through CD compilations and Dropcards for delegates.

Historically, our showcasing programme included mentorship that built up to key performances at UK showcases such as In the City where artists benefit from the huge numbers of delegates that congregate to discover new music, meet with musicians and make new contacts. This mentorship is now part of our national Artist Development Programme.
